ZEGAN DOYLE

Although quiet by nature, Zegan Doyle is a writer, director, and film programmer who lives for drama. They are a SXSW Documentary Feature Programming Associate (2025), and have been involved in programming at Outfest LA, Baby Teeth Film Festival, Fine Arts Film Festival in Bridport, and the Rubin Museum of Art, and evaluated scripts at BFI Film London and Austin Film Festival. They are a Film Independent Project Involve Fellow for Programming and a Storytelling Institute Fellow with Canal+, the City of Cannes, and the Cannes Film Festival. Doyle earned their MFA in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles where they received William J. and Lee Phillip Bell’s The Young and the Restless grant. Currently, they are writing and directing the short film Sister Claire which is supported by Film Independent’s Fiscal Sponsorship program. Doyle can be found studying the Irish language or spending time with their two beautiful cats.
